March Madness
Grades 5 - 8  
Participants will learn fun skills and drills while perfecting their basketball craft. The clinic will work on ball handling, shooting, shooting from greater lengths, footwork, among other skills relevant to basketball. There will be scrimmages and/or mini games within the clinic. The clinic will also promote healthy competition as the last day will be specifically for scrimmages. Sign up today for a fun and educational basketball experience. 
Dates:  Saturdays, 12:00pm-1:00pm, March 9, 16, 23.  
Location: Suffield High School Gym on March 9, 16.
                  McAlister School Gym on March 23.
Fee: $105.00

Included in the program will be a trip to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA., on  Saturday, March 30.  The bus will leave from the Suffield Senior Center (145 Bridge Street) at 9:30am promptly. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before 9:30am. We will arrive at the Basketball Hall of Fame just before 10:00am. We will then depart the Basketball Hall of Fame around 12:00pm and arrive back at the Senior Center around 12:20pm.

If you cannot attend the trip, you will still receive an admission ticket to the Basketball Hall of Fame for a future trip on your own.

  • INSTRUCTOR: Suffield Parks & Recreation Staff and Volunteer Parent Coaches
  • Registration closes on Thursday, March 7 and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity.
  • Limited enrollment.
  • For your child’s safety and the safety of others, the following jewelry is not permitted to be worn: earrings, rings, bracelets, rubber and friendship type wrist bands, anklets, body piercing, watches, necklaces, metal and plastic head bands, barrettes, hair clips.
  • For safety reasons children with casts are not allowed to participate.
