The camp will cover fundamentals, drills, footwork, strategy, as well as match play in a fun atmosphere on modified and full size courts.
Children must bring their own tennis racquet to camp each day.
This camp will be conducted by USTA staff.
Dates: July 20 - 24
Time: 9:00am - 12:00 Noon
Ages: 6-14 yrs.
Fee: $165.00 Resident $170.00 Non-resident
The instructor for this camp will be Kris Braithwaite who is a lifelong tennis player. She played on the tennis team at Trinity College, and during the summers in college, she coached high school tennis camps throughout Northern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. She coached the boys' and girls' varsity tennis teams at the Bentley School in California for four years and has been the coach of Suffield Academy's varsity girls' tennis team since 2020. Additionally, Kris is a dean and science teacher at Suffield Academy and continues to play USTA tennis in her free time.
NOTE: During hot days, remember to bring ample water and wear sun protection.
Program is held rain or shine.
Lessons will be held in the Middle School Gym if it is raining outside.
