Recreational Pickleball for Adults 21 years and older. The game of Pickleball combines elements of tennis, ping-pong and badminton. The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game.
All communication will be sent via email. Players are responsible for their communication with Parks & Recreation if they are unable to attend a game.
Please communicate with the Parks & Recreation Department if you are unable to make a game.
Divisions:
Divisions are organized into Co-ed Beginner, and Intermediate and Advanced leagues. *Divisions may be combined to meet minimum registration needs.
- BEGINNER: This division is for inexperienced pickleball players. Players have a basic understanding of the rules and the ability to keep score on their own. *This skill division will not keep track of team records.
- INTERMEDIATE: This division is for skilled pickleball players. Players must know the rules, work toward strategy on the court, are consistent with serving, returning, and volley at a medium pace. *This skill division will be keeping track of records. There will be a tournament to declare a winner of the league at the end of the season.
- ADVANCED: The Advanced Level is a competitive league designed for high-level players who have mastered the fundamentals of pickleball and are looking to compete at a more intense and strategic level. This league attracts seasoned athletes who possess exceptional skill sets, including powerful serves, precise volleys, and tactical court positioning. Participants are typically well-versed in advanced techniques such as dinking, lobbing, and spinning the ball to outmaneuver their opponents. *This skill division will be keeping track of records. There will be a tournament to declare a winner of the league at the end of the season.
During registration, you will be asked to place the names of two people to be substitutes for your team in case you cannot make it for a night. Only people placed as substitutes will be able to participate.
You will need to sign a waiver when you arrive to the program.

Participants should have proper footwear/clothing.
Please be sure to bring your own Paddle.
Balls will be provided.
All Participants Must Meet the Following Requirements:
Complete registration.
Be at least 21 years or older.
Able to play in most weeks.
Dates: Beginners & Intermediates - Wednesdays, October 2 & 9 will be held on the outdoor Pickleball courts. October 16, 23, 30, November 6, 13 will be held inside the Suffield Middle School Gym.
Dates: Advanced - Mondays, September 30, & October 7 will be held on the outdoor Pickleball courts. October 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11 will be held outside.
Time: Intermediate & Beginner Group: 5:00 - 8:30pm
Advanced Group: 6:00-8:30pm
Ages: 21 yrs. & older
Fee: $70.00 Residents $75.00 Non-residents
No program on Monday, November 4
NOTE: On-site registration will not be accepted.
NOTE: Each participant must register separately from their partner.
NOTE: Players are responsible for finding their own partner. Equipment not provided.
