Students will be guided through a series of STEM learning challenges that will help develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills. They will use computer programming and robotics to design and build LEGO robots as a team, while following the FIRST LEGO League Challenge curriculum.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting hands on learning. Participants gain real world problem-solving experiences through a guided, robotics program.
LEGO experience is a prerequisite for this program. Students should have experience designing and building LEGO models.
Dates: Mondays, October 7, 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18, 25, December, 2, 9, 16
Time: 3:30 - 5:30pm
Ages: Grades 4&5
Fee: $125.00
No program on October 14.
NOTE: Parents please pick children up from back of the McAlister School Cafeteria entrance, near the playscape up the ramp and through the second cafeteria door.
