Students will be guided through a series of STEM-learning challenges that will help develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. They will use computer programming and robotics to design and build LEGO robots as a team, while following the FIRST LEGO League Challenge curriculum.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, robotics program.
LEGO experience is a prerequisite for this program. Students should have experience designing and building LEGO models.
Dates: Mondays & Thursdays, November 2 - February 8
Time: 3:30 - 5:30pm
Ages: Grades 4&5
Fee: $145.00
No program on November 16, 23, December 25, 28, January 1, 15.
NOTE: Parents please pick children up from back of the McAlister School Cafeteria entrance, near the playscape up the ramp and through the second cafeteria door.
