April is for Arbor Day

Do you love trees? Suffield Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Trees for Suffield Initiative and the J. Gladwin Cannon Trust is planting trees in celebration of Arbor Day. Learn the simple but important steps for planting a tree to insure it grows to its full potential.
We’ve chosen a native tree variety to plant at Sunrise Park with your help. Native species are an important choice because they are the only trees that help support our native pollinators, birds and wildlife.
We’ll also have an Arbor Day craft activity, pizza, and a sapling tree* to take home with you.
*Tree quantities are limited and priority will be given to the first 30 households to sign up for the event.
Date: Wednesday, April 9
Time: 5:00 - 7:00pm
Ages: All ages welcome
Fee: FREE
