SCHOOL CONNECTIONS - Global Read Aloud Book Club - Grades 4 & 5 • Register • View Cart •

Book Club
Join McAlister friends and friends from around the globe to make connections through literature. This year, students across the globe will read Will's Race for Home, a historical fiction novel centered around the Oklahoma Gold Rush and one family's fight to acquire land and true freedom.

Each week, students will discuss the text with peers from around the globe through postcards, Google slide shows and more.

Students enrolled in before school classes should be dropped off at school for a 7:20am start time.

Students will be dismissed to class from the School Connections course.

Dates:   Fridays, September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
Time:    7:20 - 8:20am
Ages:    Gr. 4 & 5
Fee:      $40.00
Credit card payment only.

NOTE: Any Suffield Parks & Recreation account credits may NOT be applied to School Connections registrations.

General Information
  • INSTRUCTOR: Mrs. Tierney
  • Instructors will greet students at the door.
  • SNACKS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL. Please send a snack.
  • No refunds will be offered for a student who is enrolled in a course, but later withdraws (even if withdrawal occurs before the course begins).
  • Medications at the school will not be accessible during School Connections hours.
  • Registration closes on Wednesday, September 17 and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity.
  • Limited enrollment.
  • Credit card payment only.
