Welcome to the Rise and Shine Yoga Club, a gentle and energizing way for students to start their day!
This before-school yoga club is designed to help kids calm their bodies, clear their minds, and set a positive tone for a successful day at school. Through mindful movement and stretching, students will learn that moving their bodies isn’t just fun, it’s also an important part of supporting mental health and focus.
In each class, we’ll set a simple intention, follow fun, carefully chosen YouTube yoga videos, and practice together in a calm, supportive space while also learning a little about why moving our bodies and taking time for self-care can be so beneficial for our mental health. Students will have the opportunity to stretch, breathe, and get their bodies moving, which helps wake up the brain and prepare for learning, while also learning skills to manage stress and emotions.
Once I know who will be in the group, I will be sending out flyers with even more details so families and students can see exactly what to expect. I'm excited to help students rise, shine, and start their school day feeling strong, calm, and ready to take on anything.
Students enrolled in before school classes should be dropped off at school for a 7:20am start time.
Students will be dismissed to class from the School Connections course.

Fee: $40.00
Credit card payment only.
NOTE: Any Suffield Parks & Recreation account credits may NOT be applied to School Connections registrations.
General Information
- INSTRUCTOR: Ms. DiMatteo
- SNACKS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL. Please send a snack.
- No refunds will be offered for a student who is enrolled in a course, but later withdraws (even if withdrawal occurs before the course begins).
- Medications at the school will not be accessible during School Connections hours.
- Registration closes on Friday, December 19, 2025 and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity.
