The Running Club is a six week after-school program for students in grades 3–5 who want to be outside, get moving, and have fun. This is not a competitive team there are no tryouts, no pressure, and no racing required. Instead, we will focus on building healthy habits, finding each runner’s “happy pace,” practicing running form, and safely improving endurance in a supportive environment. This program is designed for all abilities.
Each week includes active games, steady jogging, and simple skill-building to help students grow stronger and more confident. Whether your child already enjoys running or simply wants to move more and spend time outdoors with friends, this club is about encouragement, consistency, and discovering that movement can feel good.
Students should come dressed for running on the day of the program, including sneakers and comfortable clothing appropriate for outdoor movement.
Parents must indicate in PikMyKid School Connections (McAlister) or individual program (Spaulding), so students can be safely dismissed.
Students in afternoon courses will stay in their classrooms until approximately 3:30pm when they will be dismissed through a central location before being sent to the assigned course location.
All students should be picked up promptly at the time listed for each course.

NOTE: Any Suffield Parks & Recreation account credits may NOT be applied to School Connections registrations.
General Information
- INSTRUCTOR: Mrs. Wojcik
- SNACKS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL. Please send a snack.
- No refunds will be offered for a student who is enrolled in a course, but later withdraws (even if withdrawal occurs before the course begins).
- Medications at the school will not be accessible during School Connections hours.
- Registration closes on Friday, April 3 and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity.
