I am excited to offer a fun and engaging after-school opportunity for students! This group is a student-led club, supervised by our school social worker, Daria DiMatteo, and inspired by a student who has a strong interest in amphibians.
The club is designed to give students the chance to learn about frogs and other amphibians through a mix of interactive activities, crafts, and games. Each week will focus on a different topic to build understanding in an enjoyable, hands-on way.
Week 1: Learning about different amphibians, read aloud & craft
Week 2: Frog-themed craft
Week 3: How we can help protect frogs & Amphibian craft
Week 4: Learning how to care for a frog at home and understanding their habitats in the wild
Week 5: Amphibian-themed Jeopardy game & prizes
Week 6: A special visit from George (our amphibian guest!)
This group is a great opportunity for students to explore a science topic in a fun, supportive environment with their peers. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Parents must indicate in PikMyKid School Connections (McAlister) or individual program (Spaulding), so students can be safely dismissed.
Students in afternoon courses will stay in their classrooms until approximately 3:30pm when they will be dismissed through a central location before being sent to the assigned course location.
All students should be picked up promptly at the time listed for each course.

Credit card payment only.
NOTE: Any Suffield Parks & Recreation account credits may NOT be applied to School Connections registrations.
General Information
- INSTRUCTOR: Miss DiMatteo
- SNACKS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL. Please send a snack.
- No refunds will be offered for a student who is enrolled in a course, but later withdraws (even if withdrawal occurs before the course begins).
- Medications at the school will not be accessible during School Connections hours.
- Registration closes on Friday, March 27 and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity.
- Limited enrollment.
