Some Like It Hot - Crochet a Hot Pad
Join us for this hands-on Crocheting workshop.
Have you ever wanted to crochet but didn’t know where to begin? This two day workshop will help you learn basic crochet stitches all while creating a hot pad to use for the holidays. The first class will focus on creating one side of the hot pad and the second class will work on crocheting the two sides together to give you a thick hot pad for practical use.
You’ll learn how to:
- Read a stitch gauge
- Learn crochet abbreviations
- Master single crochet and double crochet
- Get fancy with a simple but fun Bobble Stitch
- Complete the hot pad in these two classes
You will need a size 8/H/5mm crochet hook. Yarn is provided. Join us for an evening of stitching, visiting, making new friends and learning a new skill all while completing a useful hot pad to use at all you holiday gatherings. We will have snacks and lots of fun all while crocheting.
Dates: Thursday, October 29 & November 19
Time: 6:00-7:30pm
Ages: 11 yrs. & older (Children 11-14 must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver)
Fee: $15.00 (includes yarn and snack, please bring an 8/H/5mm crochet hook if you have one)
