This hands on session will emphasize the process driven aspect of clay, getting our hands messy and creating one of a kind creations. Sensory exploration and experimentation help model our pieces as we navigate, problem solve and play. Some principles we will learn about are techniques such as pinch and coil, stamping, and glazing. This is a fun class to mold, create and play. Some themes and elements we will explore include line, shape and color. Although introduction of these principles will guide the projects, creative freedom and interpretation will be encouraged through use of various artistic mediums including painting, drawing, collaging and clay.
