Tennis in the Parks (Gr. 1&2, 3-5 & 6-8) - Tennis in the Parks (Gr. 1&2) The tennis program where kids play while they learn! Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play - so it’s perfect for beginners and first-time players. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. This program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker. All players in their first session receive and keep a new age-appropriate racket, tennis ball. Grades 1-2 (2 make-up sessions)

She played on the tennis team at Trinity College, and during the summers in college, she coached high school tennis camps throughout Northern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. She coached the boys' and girls' varsity tennis teams at the Bentley School in California for four years and has been the coach of Suffield Academy's varsity girls' tennis team since 2020. Additionally, Kris is a dean and science teacher at Suffield Academy and continues to play USTA tennis in her free time.NOTE: During hot days, remember to bring ample water and wear sun protection. Lacrosse Camp - Premier (Boys Entering Gr. 2-8) - Premier Lacrosse Camp (1/2 Day Option) Premier Lacrosse Camp, in partnership with Connecticut Valley Lacrosse, is for boy field players, and goalies, entering grades 2-8 in the Fall of 2026, whose goal is to enhance the total development of each player through a strict focus on fundamentals, skill development, and a better understanding of game play. This camp will have something for everyone as individual attention, high level instruction, and healthy competition, no matter what the level of play, will be there for all of our campers. Fundamentals to include throwing, catching, shooting, and ground balls. Athletic development work to include dynamic stretching, static stretching, strength work, and running. Game like situations to include even-man situations, odd-man situations, 6v6 scrimmage, 10v10 scrimmage, fast break, ride/ clear, face-off, and small area games. Specialized instruction to include the specifics of playing attack, mid-field, defense, face-offs and goalie.In addition, we will have a specialized curriculum and space dedicated to those campers entering high school. With this, our goal is to give our campers, whom will be entering the 9th grade, the tools necessary to prepare them for the game at the high school level.Coach Kossbiel will be joined by a staff that will include other local lacrosse coaches.What to Bring: Full lacrosse equipment, water bottle, cleats, gym shoes, and a light snack.There is a very limited supply of smaller equipment for those younger players who have not played in the past. Basketball Camp, Hoop It Up - CO-ED (Entering Gr. K-2 & Gr. 2-5 & Gr.6-8) - Hoop It Up Basketball Camp - Grades 2-5 Suffield Parks & Recreation Department invites you to get in the zone with our Summer Basketball Camp. This camp will focus on fun while developing the complete player in an energetic atmosphere for players of all levels of experience. Ballers will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through drills, game scenarios, and fun scrimmages with friends.Children will be broken into groups of Grades K-2 & Grades 2-5 & Grades 6-8.
