Your child will have an enjoyable time while they play a variety of games, make crafts and enjoy healthy snacks all related to nutrition and wellness.   The class will be broken up into two separate age appropriate groups. If your child is attending the Kids Korner/Morning Munchkins camp, they can go directly to this program after their camp day ends.  Please have your child wear sneakers to this program. Suffield Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Suffield Balance Project, invite you and your child to the Let Grow Play Club. This unique summer program offers an unstructured, mixed-age play experience where children are encouraged to guide their own play and resolve conflicts independently. Through this approach, kids build essential social skills, resilience, creativity, and confidence.The program facilitator is present to ensure child safety and provide first aid if needed but takes a hands-off (“lifeguard only”) role, meaning they do not mediate conflicts or direct play unless absolutely necessary. With limited materials provided, children are inspired to use their imagination and create their own fun.Children attending Kids Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp may be dismissed directly to Play Club. Please have children wear comfortable clothing and sneakers that can get dirty. This program runs rain or shine; in the case of rain, please pack rain gear/boots. We will move indoors in the event of thunderstorms or strong winds. Parents should also pack a snack/water for their child for the program.  Children attending from the Kids Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp should pack a lunch to have before attending the Play Club.Please pack a water bottle (required). Small snacks will be available. The camp will be divided up into two separate age appropriate groups.  An assortment of creative arts and crafts will be made such as jewelry, bookmarks, bird houses, sun catchers, painting projects, Fuzzy Felt Art and more. If your child is attending the Kids Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, they are welcome to stay after camp and go directly to this fun class.  Please pack an extra snack if they are attending straight after Kids Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp.
