Join retired Broadway professional and Radio City Rockette, Debra Vega, in her signature “Broadway Brings Joy” Musical Theater Camp!Throughout the 4 days, students will explore singing, dancing and acting as they piece together excerpts from 3 popular musicals: "Snow Miser/Heat Miser" from THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS, "You'll Be Back" from HAMILTON, "You Can't Stop The Beat" from HAIRSPRAY.Dance warm-ups, vocal coaching, acting exercises and educational videos will be included throughout the week. The camp will culminate with an informal showing on the final afternoon of camp.Dates:       July 14 - 17Time:         9:00 am - 3:00 pmAges:         7-13 yrs. Location:   Suffield High School AuditoriumFee:           $300.00 Resident   $320.00 Non-resident No prior singing, dancing or acting experience is required to participate.Please wear clothing that is easy to move in (no skirts/dresses without shorts underneath), and shoes suited for dancing (i.e. sneakers or jazz/ballet shoes. Please no crocs or flip-flops.)Debra is so excited to work with you!About DebraDebra Vega - Artistic Director, "Broadway Brings Joy” ProgramsFor Debra Vega, Musical Theater is her great love, as she started dancing/singing at age 4 and basically never stopped. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Performance/Theater, traveled the world as a musical theater professional, and lived in NYC for 10 years dancing on Broadway and as a Radio City Rockette. Debra has also taught dance throughout her performing career and beyond, now over 30 years. She currently teaches at the prestigious CLI Conservatory Pre-Professional Program, Mass Academy of Ballet, as well as starting her own Broadway training program called Broadway Brings Joy (BBJ) that includes programming for both Youth and Adults.
