Welcome to the Rise and Shine Yoga Club, a gentle and energizing way for students to start their day! This before-school yoga club is designed to help kids calm their bodies, clear their minds, and set a positive tone for a successful day at school. Through mindful movement and stretching, students will learn that moving their bodies isn’t just fun, it’s also an important part of supporting mental health and focus.In each class, we’ll set a simple intention, follow fun, carefully chosen YouTube yoga videos, and practice together in a calm, supportive space while also learning a little about why moving our bodies and taking time for self-care can be so beneficial for our mental health. Students will have the opportunity to stretch, breathe, and get their bodies moving, which helps wake up the brain and prepare for learning, while also learning skills to manage stress and emotions.Once I know who will be in the group, I will be sending out flyers with even more details so families and students can see exactly what to expect.
