Your child will have non-stop fun this summer in the Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins interactive and educational camp!   The Kid’s Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp is an enriching program for children who have reached their 3rd birthday by the start of the session enrolled in (proof of age required-must be toilet trained) through those entering 2nd grade.  The youngest group is called the Morning Munchkins.  Children are placed in groups according to proximity of age/grade.  Campers will enjoy a variety of activities including: arts and crafts, educational themes, parachute play, painting, water days, Nature fun, outdoor and indoor creative play, games, story time, mindfulness,  scavenger hunts and family friendly event days in this fun and inclusive camp. Each session as a new and exciting theme.   For a special treat popsicles are served every Tuesdays on Sprinkler Day and special snacks are enjoyed on event days including ice cream and special treats.  There is a new theme each session to keep your child/ren captivated all summer long.  At the end of each session, campers put on an interactive event day.  Delicious snacks will be served and much fun is had.Please have children wear sneakers, apply sun block on your child before camp and pack a snack with water/juice that is labeled each day to camp.  Face masks are optional.We will also have a fun Sprinkler day on Tuesdays each week.  Please have your child wear a swim-suit/swim attire under their camp close that day and bring a towel. 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM    Whole Food Nutrition Fun for Kids - NEW (Entering Gr. K-2) - Whole Food Nutrition Fun for Kids
Your child will have a fun time in this enjoyable and interactive program while participating and learning from healthy snack demonstrations and by working on making their own healthy snacks with supported instruction. Participants will have a blast as they will learn about the many health benefits of nutritious foods and they will make crafts and complete worksheets to help reinforce the learning fun. If your child is attending the Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, they can go directly to this program after their camp day ends.

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga and see what it is all about?  This class is for you!  Take some time for yourself and enjoy all of the benefits of Yoga in a fun and friendly environment.  We will practice and enjoy a healthy, strengthening and de-stressing Vinyasa Yoga workout and start the weekend off right.  There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. All Levels are welcome including beginners. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, wear a face mask when social distancing is not possible and have a water bottle and a Yoga Mat ready for class.NOTE: Program will be held at the Suffield Senior Center Library Room if there are heavy rains/bad weather.

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Pickleball (Ages 25 & Older) - Tuesdays - Pickleball - Tuesdays
Recreational Pickleball for Adults 25 Years and older. The game of Pickleball combines elements of tennis, ping-pong and badminton. The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game.Participants should have proper footwear/clothing. Equipment will be provided. Face masks are optional.NOTE:  No program on Tuesday, June 21.
 
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM    Paint It Up (Age 4- Entering Gr. 1 & Entering Gr. 2-5) - Paint It Up
Children will have a blast while painting a variety of creative projects with their friends.  The class will be broken up into two separate age appropriate groups. Campers will learn techniquesof of painting and learn about colors.  Quality projects will be painted each day including: wood, glass, felt art and ceramic pieces.  Included in the fee are: projects, paints, instruction and small snack.   Please have your child wear old clothes to this class as it can be messy.  A small snack will be provided. If your child is attending the Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, they are welcome to register to stay after camp and go directly to this fun program.  Please pack an extra snack/lunch.  Please list if your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies when registering for the program. 
 
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Basketball, Youth Drop-In Summer (Entering Gr. 3-5) - Youth Drop-In Summer Basketball
Get out and have some co-ed Summer basketball fun with our FREE drop-in basketball. Don’t worry about vacations or missing a session, we able to offer these casual and fun drop-in clinic night at no charge through our awesome (and experienced) volunteers! You will have opportunities to practice your skills, learn new things, and game play. Most importantly, you will be able to get out, socialize, and have some fun!

Get an incredible workout in this fun high intensity step class. Class is designed to help build lean muscle while burning tons of fat all while having a blast. It is a total body cardio and strength workout and is the perfect summer workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty-minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Beginners to Advanced are welcome.  Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a face mask, water bottle and a Yoga Mat.  NOTE:  If there is heavy rain or very inclement weather, the program will be held in the Suffield Senior Center. The instructor will contact you by 9:30 a.m. the day of the program if the class needs to be rescheduled due to weather.

Children will have a blast while painting a variety of creative projects with their friends.  The class will be broken up into two separate age appropriate groups. Campers will learn techniquesof of painting and learn about colors.  Quality projects will be painted each day including: wood, glass, felt art and ceramic pieces.  Included in the fee are: projects, paints, instruction and small snack.   Please have your child wear old clothes to this class as it can be messy.  A small snack will be provided. If your child is attending the Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, they are welcome to register to stay after camp and go directly to this fun program.  Please pack an extra snack/lunch.  Please list if your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies when registering for the program.

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga and see what it is all about?  This class is for you!  Take some time for yourself and enjoy all of the benefits of Yoga in a fun and friendly environment.  We will practice and enjoy a healthy, strengthening and de-stressing Vinyasa Yoga workout and start the weekend off right.  There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. All Levels are welcome including beginners. Healthy Relationships at the Youth CenterJoin this 2-part series! The Network will be providing fun friendship activities. Through interactive games, discussion and crafts, youth will learn what makes a good friend, what qualities to look for in a friend, and how to solve problems that come up in their friendships. This will involve learning key components like how to build trust, ways to show respect, tips for communicating well, and strategies for standing up for themselves. Some examples of activities may include brainstorming using relatable scenarios, role playing, drawing, group discussions, and more. Friendships are important and making healthy choices in friends can provide a lot of positive benefits to a child’s mental, emotional, and even physical health. Participants are welcome to come with specifics issues they’d like help with too. Registration required as space is limited.

Get an incredible workout in this fun high intensity step class. Class is designed to help build lean muscle while burning tons of fat all while having a blast. It is a total body cardio and strength workout and is the perfect summer workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty-minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Beginners to Advanced are welcome.  Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a face mask, water bottle and a Yoga Mat.  NOTE:  If there is heavy rain or very inclement weather, the program will be held in the Suffield Senior Center. Have you ever wanted to try Yoga and see what it is all about?  This class is for you!  Take some time for yourself and enjoy all of the benefits of Yoga in a fun and friendly environment.  We will practice and enjoy a healthy, strengthening and de-stressing Vinyasa Yoga workout and start the weekend off right.  There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. All Levels are welcome including beginners. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, wear a face mask when social distancing is not possible and have a water bottle and a Yoga Mat ready for class.NOTE: Program will be held at the Suffield Senior Center Library Room if there are heavy rains/bad weather. 
 
4:30 PM - 10:00 PM    2022 Suffield Night at the Hartford Yard Goats - 2022 Suffield Night at the Yard Goats
Suffield Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring the 2022 “Suffield Night at the Hartford Yard Goats” on Saturday, July 16th.  Opposing team will be the Harrisburg Senators, the Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.The Hartford Yard Goats are the Double-A affiliate to the Major League Baseball team Colorado Rockies. This event will be held at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford with the gates opening at 4:30 pm and the game starting at 6:05 pm. Suffield Night is a way for us to celebrate our accomplishments with the town and enjoy time with community members. The event will have pre-game ceremonies including selected community members being recognized on field, a ceremonial first pitch, color guard comprised of members of Suffield Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments, and a performance of America the Beautiful sung by a Suffield student. The night will close with a post-game fireworks show.  Suffield Residents only may purchase tickets through the Parks & Recreation Department's website. Be sure to purchase your tickets early!Limited tickets are available at $15 per ticket through Parks & Recreation.You can represent Suffield at the game with your “Suffield” heather gray T-shirt w/white lettering. Get in shape and have fun in our Summer Tabata Outdoor Bootcamp.  You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class. Tabata is a form of HIIT (high intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class. All fitness levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, bring a water bottle and Yoga Mat. NOTE:  If there is heavy rain or very inclement weather, the program will be held in the Suffield Senior Center. Have a fun time with your friends celebrating summer while playing a variety of fun games such as pool, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, corn hole and a variety of other enjoyable games and exercises. We will also have pizza/snacks for dinner.   All abilities welcome.  We will be practicing physical/social distancing and everyone must wear a mask when we are indoors or when not social distancing. All participants must pre-register.  Limited enrollment. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, sneakers and wear and bring a face mask and water bottle.

Healthy Relationships at the Youth CenterJoin this 2-part series! The Network will be providing fun friendship activities. Through interactive games, discussion and crafts, youth will learn what makes a good friend, what qualities to look for in a friend, and how to solve problems that come up in their friendships. This will involve learning key components like how to build trust, ways to show respect, tips for communicating well, and strategies for standing up for themselves. Some examples of activities may include brainstorming using relatable scenarios, role playing, drawing, group discussions, and more. Friendships are important and making healthy choices in friends can provide a lot of positive benefits to a child’s mental, emotional, and even physical health. Participants are welcome to come with specifics issues they’d like help with too. Registration required as space is limited.

It is a total body cardio and strength workout and is the perfect summer workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty-minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Join You Emerge Coaching for a fun and interactive job readiness course. This program will educate and equip students with tools to promote confidence and success as they plan to enter the workforce now or in the near future. Students will learn the importance of getting and sustaining a job as well as learning money saving tips so they can start the journey of being financially literate. Students will be taught how to ace interviews and each student gets to participate in an interview to showcase what they have learned. Campers will be grouped by grade and ability, and will be taught from fun and structured lesson plans daily.  Skills include: dribbling, passing, trapping, shielding, ball control, and shooting.  Game tactics will also be taught through creative games, as well as small sided game play. Players must have shin guards.   Don't miss out on the fun and instructional camp!  Be sure to bring water and a nut-free snack.

Learn to ride or improve current riding skills under the guidance of an advanced riding instructor. An approved safety riding helmet will be provided.  Riders must wear jeans or riding pants, shoes with low heels.  No sneakers or work boots with wide treads.  During hot days, remember to bring ample water and wear sun protection.

Get in shape and have fun in our Summer Tabata Outdoor Bootcamp.  You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class. Tabata is a form of HIIT (high intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class. All fitness levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, bring a water bottle and Yoga Mat. NOTE:  If there is heavy rain or very inclement weather, the program will be held in the Suffield Senior Center. The instructor will contact you by 9:30 a.m. the day of the program if the class needs to be rescheduled due to weather.

Healthy Relationships at the Youth CenterJoin this 2-part series! The Network will be providing fun friendship activities. Through interactive games, discussion and crafts, youth will learn what makes a good friend, what qualities to look for in a friend, and how to solve problems that come up in their friendships. This will involve learning key components like how to build trust, ways to show respect, tips for communicating well, and strategies for standing up for themselves. Some examples of activities may include brainstorming using relatable scenarios, role playing, drawing, group discussions, and more. Friendships are important and making healthy choices in friends can provide a lot of positive benefits to a child’s mental, emotional, and even physical health. Participants are welcome to come with specifics issues they’d like help with too. Registration required as space is limited.

Recreational Pickleball for Adults 25 Years and older. The game of Pickleball combines elements of tennis, ping-pong and badminton. The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game. Participants should have proper footwear/clothing. Equipment will be provided.

Get an incredible workout in this fun high intensity step class. Class is designed to help build lean muscle while burning tons of fat all while having a blast. It is a total body cardio and strength workout and is the perfect summer workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty-minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Beginners to Advanced are welcome.  Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a face mask, water bottle and a Yoga Mat.  NOTE:  If there is heavy rain or very inclement weather, the program will be held in the Suffield Senior Center. The instructor will contact you by 9:30 a.m. the day of the program if the class needs to be rescheduled due to weather.

Join You Emerge Coaching for a fun and interactive job readiness course. This program will educate and equip students with tools to promote confidence and success as they plan to enter the workforce now or in the near future. Students will learn the importance of getting and sustaining a job as well as learning money saving tips so they can start the journey of being financially literate. Students will be taught how to ace interviews and each student gets to participate in an interview to showcase what they have learned.
